Since our founding in 1948, Amada Weld Tech has been committed to the design and manufacture of innovative and reliable equipment and systems for industry. Our very roots are in medical device manufacturing: Unitek Corporation was established in Pasadena, CA, for the specific purpose of making orthodontic appliances. The company soon expanded, however, into building resistance welders for the medical, electronics and aerospace industries and took off from there.
Over the decades, the company underwent multiple transformations and added technologies to its product line until it was acquired by Amada Co., Ltd. in 2013. The company rebranded as Amada Weld Tech in 2020, reinforcing its role as a global leader in manufacturing technology. Today, we have one goal: to solve our customers’ manufacturing challenges. That’s why we have not one… not two… but EIGHT technologies to work with. Knowing there is no one solution that fits all, we strive to provide our customers with options so that we can match exactly the right equipment to their specific application:
The medical device market has long been a cornerstone of our business, and we are honored to supply equipment and systems to many leading manufacturers in the industry, producing everything from electrodes to pacemakers. We have proudly exhibited at MD&M West for more than three decades, recognizing it as an unparalleled opportunity to foster high-level industry connections.
As we celebrate 77 years of growth and innovation, we are thrilled to join MD&M West in marking their 40th anniversary, reflecting on our shared commitment to advancing the medical device industry.
